Back Lighting

1. I had a hard time deciding which is the best shot, but i think the first edit is because it fits my aesthetic perfectly and im very proud of the way it came out. 2. The second edit is the weaker picture because i feel like it is kind of out of focus, but being out of focus gives it a good shadow effect. 3. The weakest shot can be improved by just me focusing more. 4. I used photoshop for both of them, i used the spot healing tool in the first one to edit out lights and make the shadow completely black, and i added more of a purple filter on them, etc. 5. I met the goals of the assignment by creating shadows that can portray a story through them.We can still tell a narrative in pictures with little detail in them by the way the shadows are placed and what they are doing. 6. The easy thing about this assignment was creating poses and bringing objects into the poses. 7. The hardest thing about this project was to focus my camera with one hand and place all the objects...

Depth of Field

Low depth of field. Low depth of field. High depth of field. High depth of field. The picture that is the best shot is the flower one because you can see all the details in the dandelion. The weakest picture of this assignment is the last high depth of field picture because there wasn't as much substance in it.  The weakest can be improved by having more to look at. I used photoshop. I used the straighten tool and the filter levels. I was able to meet the goals by taking high and low depth of field pictures. The easiest one to do is high depth of field in my opinion. The easy thing about the assignment was finding things to take pictures of. The hardest part of the assignment was trying to find the right angles for the pictures. If i could do this assignment differently, i would take more photos.  I would rate my effort a 7 because i got lazy halfway through and lost motivation because my iphone screen broke and i had to get it fixed.
