Depth of Field

Low depth of field.
Low depth of field.
High depth of field.
High depth of field.

The picture that is the best shot is the flower one because you can see all the details in the dandelion.
The weakest picture of this assignment is the last high depth of field picture because there wasn't as much substance in it. 
The weakest can be improved by having more to look at.
I used photoshop. I used the straighten tool and the filter levels.
I was able to meet the goals by taking high and low depth of field pictures. The easiest one to do is high depth of field in my opinion.
The easy thing about the assignment was finding things to take pictures of.
The hardest part of the assignment was trying to find the right angles for the pictures.
If i could do this assignment differently, i would take more photos. 
I would rate my effort a 7 because i got lazy halfway through and lost motivation because my iphone screen broke and i had to get it fixed.

  1. Only the 1st images label is correct. Fix to raise grade.

    Stop putting your subject in the middle of the frame. Remember rule of thirds. Try different perspectives and angles.

Color Sampling

1 2 3 4 5 1 2 3 4 5 The best shot is the lip gloss because the picture in general is vibrant and the subject is right in the middle. The weakest shot is the putty because i could have used a different background for it. The weakest shot can be improved by using a more simple background. I used photoshop to edit the pictures in each layer. I also used the spot healing tool for a lot of corrections. By color sampling, it changes the pictures moods by having a more clear focus on what is being shown. It gives a more relaxed mood. Finding colorful objects was the easiest of this assignment because everything has color. Finding the right backgrounds were the hardest because i dont have many clear backgrounds in my house. If i could redo this assignment i would find more simple backgrounds. I would give myself a 9 because i love all the colorful pictures i took with their setups, but not the backgrounds.
